Our Story
Miami International Dance Academy (MIDA) was founded in 2013 and in the 2022 Niuris Torres became in its President.
Our mission is to provide a professional dance instruction and an appreciation for the art of dance in a safe, high-quality studio environment.
The Academy offers both youth and adult dance classes providing a solid foundation in ballet and all the dance styles for all the students, offering personalized teaching and dedication into every student’s learning experience and progress.

Niuris Torres
Director and Principal Instructor
Niuris Torres was born and raised in Cuba. When she was 4 she began in the academy and company of Pro-danza, them she took classes in the Elementary School of Ballet Alejo Carpentier for 5 years and in 2005 she had the honor to be accepted in the best academy of ballet in Cuba: The National Ballet School of Cuba(ENA) Niuris completed training in all disciplines such as dance hall, character dancing, ballet methodology, folcklore, pointe, and etc. with emphasis in ballet and pointe.
She graduated in July 2009 as a Dancer-Teacher of the ENA. In her professional work, she taught girls from The National Ballet School for 2 years, choreographed and prepared dancers for their graduation recitals. Niuris had dance in to many places and theaters, having performed as a soloist in classical ballets as Swan Lake, Nutcracker, La Sylphide, Coppelia, Bayadere, Don Quijote, La Fille Mal Gardee and others. She moved to Miami, Florida in 2014 and since them she has been teaching at different studios and helped to choreograph, produce and prepare annual recitals.
